Age of Empires: Castle Siege App Reviews

How did this game get such low reviews. Its great. Works well. No bugs. The play is fun and based on history. And Im tired of the clash of clan clone comments. If thats the case then clash of clans is a clone of the original Warcraft from Blizzard.

Game still not working, error msg after deleting the app and downloading it again. if u use ipad or iphone this is not a good game to have

Not much to do if you dont want to spend money. Combat is dull. Building is slow. I could see one spending a bunch of cash on micro transactions trying to have fun. Also they totally screwed over their iOS users by locking us out and letting everyone else start leagues while we were idle.

Why? Bad coders and bad platform. Ive been comparing this game to another similar style game, which I wont name as this is not a sales pitch for them. I can state without uncertainty that this game is poorly written/managed. The interface is horrid. You will have issues controlling the troops during battles. The biggest issues are the constant connection problems, especially during battles. And for that matter, any other time. I do not have these problems playing another similar type of game. The "matching" process is very very SLOW. I wonder what garbage hardware/platform their cloud support actually is. This all leads me to suspect bad coding and project management. This past month they proved that when they killed this game on all i-devices. Im done with these jokers. Their slop is intolerable. Additionally, these people are stingy with the making of resources. It takes Way Way too long to build anything! It took much longer to reach a certain level in this game compared to the one Im playing now. Also worth a mention, the A.I. should be called A.S. instead. Its certainly not "intelligent". My recommendation is to try other games before this one! Put this one at the bottom of that list.

The game could have been more fun. Matching with other users is very poor. This makes for a frustrating experience at many levels. The slow game play isnt entirely bad. It makes the game last longer. The main problem I have is the wild disparity in rewards and the poor matching. Troops control is another problem. Its sloppy and the troops are often completely uncontrollable. Instead of improving this, they added features and caused an app failure that lasted longer than a week. Ignore negative if you like. You may enjoy it for a short time. Dont give them any money. Its not worth it.

According to the 1.16.1 update on IOS it specifically says it addressed error downloading data on launch - NOT! It also says it fixed the bug where some players were getting connection errors - again NOT as the app does not even launch properly. Do these developers not test their work? NOT!

Game constantly has problems and takes for ever to fix! I have played for along time and got almost my jeep and my resources up level 7-8 but ur better off playing something else just saying!

Just adding to what others have said. This game is just not there. Three years weve been waiting for World Domination and we unexpectedly get this random, thrown together game that sparingly runs without frustrating loading or control issues. Only thing that crashes my iPhone 6s is is app. It isnt tying me over at all. It also did not run on the newest iOS for the past several weeks. I will give you $50 for a game comparable to AOE2, but Im ashamed after spending $2.99 worth of "gold" for this game

Good game I enjoy playing but anymore it just crashes my ipad

There are a number of better games out there, such as Clash of Clans and Dominations. Just trying to connect to the servers is bad, but couple that with the numerous other problems.. And just pass and download something else. The name Age of Empires really takes a hit with bad releases such as this.

The game itself is good, faster going then clash of clans but still enjoyable. The updates have ruined that though. I had to restart the whole game after playing it for months, and just now cant get back into it. Another error. Also the game would freeze sometimes and restart my phone.

Now, this game is probably going very downhill compared to other kinds of games similar to this. This game is certainly not a CoC clone, but its certainly not good, either. Played this for a year and balancing in this game is very bad, some units are basically never used at the higher levels compared to CoC. The micromanagement and different way of using heroes is a nice twist, but doesnt make the game enjoyable. Resources are very hard to earn as in the surface, it costs less to upgrade something than its CoC equivalent, but then you realize that most players produce less resources compared to the cost rather than in CoC, where the resources produced makes it easier to upgrade things. At th8 in this game, resources are hard to get, in CoC its easier. When it inteoduces a new "deal", or has news, it will spam you with it and be annoying, but minor. Leagues only give "gold" and doesnt give you extra loot after a battle. Good idea, but devs ruined it.

Apples inability to promptly fix their Game Center app blocks me from playing this game. Developers, please quit making your games tied to this application. Please, thank you

Awesome game but it will be much good if u make it 3d world.adjust graphics.Make it less time for reloading troops,the man wall i want to see them walking in the wall and put range so i can see how far they can attack when the enemy attacking.Additional troops riding the horse rounding the palace and add sum trees and animal that can attack automatically by tower or by man wall or by troops that rounding on that place(while in idle only).atleast make it 3d world while idle or while watching replay pls.we are waiting for ur update thanks.

Unable to launch the application

This game starts out as a lot of fun. Good graphics make up for the dumb AI at first, but after a few months its unbearable. Everything takes forever to upgrade and the ranking system seems very broken. You have no reward for upgrading you keep because it only allows stronger enemies to raid your base even if you are in a lower league.

This game shears nothing in common with the original age of empires series. Where the original series you could play an action-packed game within a few hours, this one is painfully slow and design to nickel and dime you. Worst yet, this game is completely network dependent, and has connectivity issues that I do not see with other apps, where if you happen to be in battle, your army disappears, your loss, tough cookies. Dont waste your time.

This game crashed and I cant get it to load up. Can I get some answers on when is gonna start again?
