Promising but crashes iPhone 6

I was looking for another COC game as Supercell ruined COC with the latest update. Came across AoE and had many fond memories of the PC games. So far the gameplay is similar but loading/searching attacks takes much longer. Worst part tho is that if I leave the app for enough time to log out, and then reopen without hard closing the app, it freezes my iphone 6 and it eventually restarts... Thats a pretty big drawback.
Also the in game currency (gold) doesnt seem to go very far. You get 3 per day but it costs 40 to speed up a building by an hour. Thats far above what my price point is for wanting to purchase the in game currency.
